What is the PCU5000?
 
The PCU5000 is the latest in propeller pitch control technology. It is designed to
precisely deliver the right amount of oil to maintain control of your constant speed
propeller in all conditions.

I already have a prop governor, why should I buy the PCU5000?
 
The PCU5000 is the only propeller pitch control unit developed in the 21st century.
Many prop governors today were manufactured during W orld War II. The parts are very expensive when available.

Is the PCU5000 approved?
 
Yes, the PCU5000 is FAA-PMA approved for Cessna, Reims, Raytheon and Piper
applications. See our Applications Chart for further details.

What is the TBO for the PCU5000?
 
The same as your engine. See Aero Technologies, LLC Service Letter 2005 on homepage for a printable copy.
 
1.5.
How does the PCU5000 compare to my existing governor?
 
The PCU5000 is smaller in size and weighs less, as much as 2 ½ lbs, than other
existing OEM units but pumps 30 to 35 percent more oil to ensure your propeller
maintains control in all operating conditions.

How much does it cost?
 
It’s comparable with a price of many major governor overhauls. Contact any of our Sales/Service Centers for price.

Do you have a PCU5000 that will fit an experimental kit aircraft?
 
Yes, we call it the PCU5000X. We will customize the PCU5000 to meet the needs of
our experimental customers. These can be purchased through any of our Sales/Service Centers.

Will the PCU5000 fit on any aircraft engine?
 
Yes, the mounting is designed to fit all Continental, Lycoming and Rotax engines
provided that the mounting pad conforms to AND20010.
 
1.9.
Is installation difficult?
 
No, the unit can be installed easily without any additional modifications to the aircraft.
 
1.10.
Does everything I need come in the box?
   
Yes, the PCU5000 comes with all necessary mounting and attaching hardware.
 
1.11.
Is there a warranty and can I extend the warranty?
     
  Yes, the PCU5000 has a three year limited warranty. We also proudly offer the option of extending the warranty for an additional four years at $99.00.
